Announcement

We have the pleasure to announce the availability of the above-mentioned study, which provides the customer with a global overview of blood collections as well as a comprehensive analysis of all the sources of plasma used for fractionation. This includes, on a worldwide level, plasma recovered from whole blood donations, as well as source plasma, by public/non-profit entities as well as by private/commercial companies. When it is not used for transfusion, fresh frozen plasma (FFP) can be a source for more plasma for fractionation in some countries, provided that there are no regulatory or legal barriers. The data is based on an extensive survey conducted by the MRB in over 75 countries in 2020 and 2021. In addition to 2019 figures, the report provides historical data going back ten years, sometimes longer.

• Data on the processing of blood, components and plasma for transfusion.
