FORECAST OF THE ALBUMIN DEMAND IN THE UNITED STATES FROM 2013 TO 2020
We are pleased to inform you that a Market Analysis and Forecast of the Albumin Demand in the United States – 2013 2020 is now available.
In the United States, the human albumin market has steadily increased over the past few years, going from 119 tons in 2008 to over 145 tons in 2012, a 5% annual growth rate. Albumin’s uses as a volume replacement therapy, maintaining osmotic pressure, and protein carrier continue to be of prime importance in a variety of clinical situations while new applications as a therapeutic agent may boost its future demand. Despite the overall growth, albumin demand has been uneven due to market circumstances and the rise (and fall) of substitutes such as hetastarch. Evolving clinical practice patterns as well as economic and health insurance-related considerations alter albumin usage patterns, which in turn affect the future albumin demand.
Using an extensive database, as well as primary research to forecast usage trends, this report has the following objectives:
A) The first objective of this study is to estimate the use of albumin by disease condition in the United States
B) The second objective of the study is to develop an annual forecast of the albumin demand in the US from 2013 to 2020. This objective encompasses:
- Albumin usage by clinical conditions,
- Albumin and alternative treatments, and
- Emerging practice trends.
